Dillian Whyte Knockout Lucas Browne

AUSSIE heavyweight Lucas Browne was left unconscious in a knockout out of the year finish by Dillian Whyte in their heavyweight bout. Dillian Whyte Knockout Lucas Browne in the 6th round.

The 38-year-old Australian was aiming to become the No.1 contender for the WBC belt held by American Deontay Wilder, but Browne was dispatched with a devastating left hand 37 seconds into the sixth round which left him flat out and needing medical treatment.

There was real concern as doctors rushed into the ring and put him on oxygen. After an agonising five minutes, Browne finally signalled he was OK before rising to his feet and walking to the side of the ring before taken away for more treatment.

Whyte opened up a cut above Browne’s eye in the opening round before going to the body in rounds two and three to open up an early lead on the scorecards.

Dillian White continued to  punish Lucas Browne in rounds four and five before finishing the contest in round six.

Everything went perfectly for Dillian Whyte, except for his celebration. He wildly kicked at the corner padding as Lucas Browne lay on the canvas — and nearly joined him on the deck.
