Photo: Footballer Emiliano Sala Involved in a Plane Crash

A body has been recovered from the wreckage of the plane that was carrying Argentina-born professional football player Emiliano Sala and pilot David Ibbotson.

The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) in Britain, which disclosed this late on Wednesday, however did not give the identity of the body.

Photo: Footballer Emiliano Sala Involved in a Plane Crash

The 28-year-old Sala had been en route from Nantes in western France on January 21 to make his debut for English Premier League team Cardiff City when the plane disappeared.

The wreckage was found on Sunday following a privately-funded underwater search of the English Channel where the plane crashed into.

The body was “successfully recovered” but attempts to recover the aircraft wreckage were unsuccessful, the AAIB said in a statement.

The overall operation was brought to an end due to “poor weather conditions,” the agency said.

Sala had agreed to join Welsh club Cardiff for a club-record fee of £15 million from French Ligue 1 club Nantes.

He and the pilot are believed to have died as the single-engined Piper Malibu aircraft crashed into the sea.(Reuters/NAN)

Your personal Google+ account is going away on April 2, 2019

Your personal Google+ account is going away on April 2, 2019

Google is finally closing the social network it set up in an ill-fated attempt to take on Facebook, the company has confirmed. Google+ will be shut down for good on 2 April, with all profiles and pages to be deleted on that day.

The announcement has caused confusion among some Google users; the company made it easy for people to create a Google+ page by accident, leaving many unaware they had joined the social network in the first place. We answer some key questions surrounding the closure.
In December 2018, we announced our decision to shut down Google+ for consumers in April 2019 due to low usage and challenges involved in maintaining a successful product that meets consumers' expectations. We want to thank you for being part of Google+ and provide next steps, including how to download your photos and other content.

On April 2nd, your Google+ account and any Google+ pages you created will be shut down and we will begin deleting content from consumer Google+ accounts. Photos and videos from Google+ in your Album Archive and your Google+ pages will also be deleted. You can download and save your content, just make sure to do so before April. Note that photos and videos backed up in Google Photos will not be deleted.

The process of deleting content from consumer Google+ accounts, Google+ Pages, and Album Archive will take a few months, and content may remain through this time. For example, users may still see parts of their Google+ account via activity log and some consumer Google+ content may remain visible to G Suite users until consumer Google+ is deleted.

As early as February 4th, you will no longer be able to create new Google+ profiles, pages, communities or events.

See the full FAQ for more details and updates leading up to the shutdown.

If you're a Google+ Community owner or moderator, you may download and save your data for your Google+ Community. Starting early March 2019, additional data will be available for download, including author, body, and photos for every community post in a public community. Learn more

If you sign in to sites and apps using the Google+ Sign-in button, these buttons will stop working in the coming weeks but in some cases may be replaced by a Google Sign-in button. You'll still be able to sign in with your Google Account wherever you see Google Sign-in buttons. Learn more

If you've used Google+ for comments on your own or other sites, this feature will be removed from Blogger by February 4th and other sites by March 7th. All your Google+ comments on all sites will be deleted starting April 2, 2019. Learn more

If you're a G Suite customer, Google+ for your G Suite account should remain active. Contact your G Suite administrator for more details. You can also expect a new look and new features soon. Learn more

If you're a developer using Google+ APIs or Google+ Sign-in, click here to see how this will impact you.

From all of us on the Google+ team, thank you for making Google+ such a special place. We are grateful for the talented group of artists, community builders, and thought leaders who made Google+ their home. It would not have been the same without your passion and dedication.

Photos: Half-naked woman caught masturbating in public

Dovie Nickels, 26, was seen performing the sex act on the patio of the JW Marriott Hotel in Austin, Texas, on Tuesday evening. Austin PD officers were called to the hotel after a worker claimed to have seen Nickels ‘holding a silver object’ against her privates ‘with her legs straight up in the air, spread open.’

The woman is accused of continuing to behave indecently after she was arrested with no pants on while performing a solo sex act.
According to court documents seen by the Austin American Statesman, the worker who walked in on the scene ‘could hear Nickels making moaning noises.’ When he tried to approach her to tell her to stop what she was doing, she yelled at him to get back.
Nickels is said to have spent around seven or eight minutes masturbating on that patio, before moving to the terrace of the nearby Second Bar + Kitchen to continue pleasuring herself.

When approached by a cop, she is said to have stopped moving her arms under the table and placed them on top of it. It was then police officers noticed that Nickels was not wearing any pants.

After being arrested, cuffed, and put in the back of a cruiser, she is said to have continued masturbating.

Nickels, whose Facebook page lists her as a worker for Sonic Drive-In, has been charged with indecent exposure and is currently in Travis County Jail in lieu of $3,000 bond.

NANS Threatens To Disrupt General Elections If ASUU, ASUP Strike Continues

The National Association of Nigeria Students, NANS, has threatened to boycott and disrupt the 2019 general elections scheduled to hold in February if the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, and its Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP, counterpart and the Federal Government fail to reach an agreement and call off the ongoing strike.

The Zone B of the association comprising tertiary institutions in the South East and South South, at a peaceful demonstration recently barricaded the Niger Bridge to register their displeasure over the lingering strike and called on the federal government to either negotiate with ASUU, or forget about the elections.

NANS Threatens To Disrupt General Elections If ASUU, ASUP Strike Continues
The students were seen holding placards bearing different inscriptions such as,   “ASUU/ ASUP strike, Another way to increase crime”; “ No resumption,  no election”; “We are tired of endless negotiations”; “End strike now”; “NANS Zone B wants Her Students back on campuses”; Nigerian Students have bright future; do not truncate it with strike”; “NANS Zone B says no to strike” and “Save education, end strike now”.

According to the Zone B coordinator of NANS, Comrade Okereke Godson, students could not afford to stay at home while the country holds the 2019 general elections, warning that the umbrella body of the students would chase away voters on election day if the federal government failed to reach agreement with ASUU and end the strike.

He said: “Students constitute 46 percent of the electoral strength in this country and if the federal government fails to end the strike, we see it as a deliberate attempt to rig the poll because the election cannot hold while we remain at home. Let them open our campuses or election will not hold.”
